Rachel Booth - Clinical Reflexologist and Massage Therapist

Background                                                                                                                                      My interest in complimentary therapies was sparked when after being involved in a relatively minor traffic accident I suffered whiplash, resulting in chronic neck pain. After months of restrictive movement, unable to perform to the best of my ability on either the sporting field or in my job as a physical education teacher I was encouraged to seek help from a local reflexologist.  Such was the positive effect on my health and wellbeing I was motivated to understand the theory and science behind the discipline and began my practitioner training with the world renound Crane School of Reflexology  within the year.

I completed both my Diploma in Reflexology and Diploma in Body Massage in June 1997 with credits and began my journey into holistic therapy.  After living and working in Perth, Western Australia since 2002, I have recently returned to the UK and set up my own practice, working from my home treatment room in Dunnington and at Dunnington Sports Club.

Philosophy

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

i I believe that when in it's normal state of health the human body works most effectively in a balanced environment. However, the demands and stresses of today's modern society often impact negatively on our physical and emotional health, creating imbalances within the body.

Reflexology and massage can help to effectively re-gain and maintain the balance, assisting the body's own healing powers, contributing to a general feeling of well-being and helping to prevent future illness.

Combining my skills in both disciplines with my working knowledge of health, exercise and nutrition I treat holistically and am able to provide either an effective one off treatment to help relieve an immediate problem, or a tailor made programme of treatments and aftercare advice to assist you on your road to long term physical and emotional health.
